Course Duration
Like other B.Tech programs, it is a 4-year program
which involves 8 semesters and each semester is for six months. In each
session, Students get knowledge on different arena of agriculture with
theoretical and practical classes. The course gives insight of concept and
techniques of Agriculture and modern technology. It combines various
disciplines like geology, plant and animal science, core engineering branches
and modern agriculture technology. The first and second semesters have the
common subjects. The later semesters focus on the agriculture sector. It also
contains elements of Electrical, Civil,
Mechanical and Computer Engineering apart from Agriculture science.

The last year students of
the program can prepare themselves for a number of Government jobs. Since the
field has limited number of students, you can able to get the Government job in
the Agriculture Department of any state. You can apply for officer grade jobs
in the department. Your Degree in Agriculture science
help you get jobs in Food Department, Daily Boards, Research Departments and
Coir Board. Many private companies like fertilizer firms, agricultural
machinery manufacturing firms and food products processing firms like to hire
B.Tech graduates in agriculture science. The starting salary is handsome. As
